Despatched

HC regrets to inform those he calls friend

That his body (which was not him) has come to an end,

All natural functions from the crown to toes

Rescinded in the stillness of full close.

None of this object was of course him:

Whether one chooses a thumbnail or a limb,

Cut it off he'd be the same he:

All that was simply his residency.

He was an abstract, a tangle of neural relations,

Not neurons, he was a set of psychic equations:

He was architecture, he was not bricks.

However, by the bitterest of life's tricks,

The one depends on the other: it's logistics:

So he's been obliged to shut down operations.
